The Consortium

Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute is a Centre of Excellence for Marine and Maritime Research, Technological Development and Innovation. CMMI aims to be driven by the needs of the Industry and Society in addressing the major challenges that the Marine and Maritime sectors face. The Maritime Digitalisation Centre (MDigiC) will be participating in this proposal. MDigiC’s activities are related to the acceleration of the digital transformation in areas closely linked to the Blue Economy agenda, via the 
acquisition and development of advanced R&D capabilities.

CUT is an established public university, founded by law on December 2003, and one of three state universities in Cyprus. CUT is a dynamic university with 7 leading schools/faculties and 17 academic departments, able to offer education and high-level research, in primary branches of science and applied technology, at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, CUT is the youngest university in the list of top universities in Europe; an achievement that highlights the emerging, dynamic, and innovative nature of CUT.

Columbia Shipmanagement is an international organisation with 40 years of experience as world-class ship management and maritime services provider. Columbia has developed a global reputation by continuously exceeding clients´ expectations providing the highest quality and professional management services and a global presence with more than 20 offices, crew agencies and training centres worldwide connecting Columbia’s 15.000 employees. As a large enterprise, it offers the consortium with access to a large shipping customer base and necessary connections into the shipping sector, deep knowledge of the maritime industry including status, needs, operations, and KPIs, access to ships for installing and testing solutions.

Ayia Napa (Makronisos) Marina is a marina management company that offers 24/7 monitoring of all systems and deals with all requests/reports from customers and ANM staff. The company has a central marina management platform that maximizes integration of systems, with a central control room/monitoring system and centralized pedestals monitoring and billing software. Ayia Napa Marina has a strong focus on technology and innovation to enhance customer experience and efficiency in managing the marina. As a large enterprise it offers the consortium an IT department that has the capability to maintain modern cyber-secure monitoring systems, it has the capability to offer physical spaces to be used as a testbed, and it has interest, expertise, and tried and tested plans for emergency response with regular drills 
for environmental hazard remediation.

Electi Consulting Ltd is a privately owned Technology Consulting SME operating in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cryptography and Blockchain. Electi has built blockchain and AI solutions across many countries including United Kingdom, USA, Canada, United Arab Emirates and Cyprus. 

A.T. Delevant Business Solutions Ltd is active in Supply Chain Planning (SCP) and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software solutions.

MarineFields Holdings Limited is a digital collaboration company that offers a maritime data sharing platform. The company aims to connect shipping companies, ports, and terminals through a single interface that allows for time-stamp data sharing and collaboration.

Cyprus Shipping Association was established in 1945 to provide a professional forum for the Shipping Agents of Cyprus. In 1954, following its registration under the provisions of the local Trade Unions Law, CSA became the official body representing the profession of the Shipping Agent in Cyprus.

Cyprus Ports Authority is a semi-governmental organization who is the owner of all Cyprus Ports. CPA is responsible for both the provision of port services and port operations, as well as regulator of port operations where these operations are provided by third parties.
